Cancer Prevention Presentation February 2016

Schlafly Lecture Series combatting cancerBettina Drake, PhD, MPH, associate professor of surgery at Washington University School of Medicine’s Division of Public Health Sciences, will be presenting at the St. Louis Public Library Schlafly Branch on Feb. 17, 2016 from 6 -7:30 p.m. Her presentation, Combatting Cancer, is part of the Schlafly Lecture Series.

Dr. Drake will discuss cancer prevention tips as well as screening guidelines for common types of cancer, including prostate cancer, breast cancer and colorectal cancer. Information will be available to take home. Screening tests for breast cancer and prostate cancer will be available for individuals. During the presentation, children will have the opportunity to make cards for cancer patients.
