Allison’s research focuses on improving access to evidence-based cancer rehabilitation programs and reducing barriers to comprehensive cancer care. The overall goal of her research agenda is to reduce cancer-related disability. She takes a mixed methods approach to examine questions from the perspectives of patients and their families, medical providers, and medical systems. She is currently a postdoctoral research associate within the Implementation Science Center for Cancer Control. During her postdoctoral training she is working on research in a variety of areas such as interventions to enhance colorectal cancer screening in rural communities, direct and indirect costs associated with prostate cancer and its treatment, and social network analysis of individuals engaged in dissemination and implementation research.
