Dr. Strope’s research focuses on improving the quality of care for patients with urological illness. He is currently exploring the delivery of care for patients after they have received potentially curative major surgery for bladder and kidney cancer. This research will help define which aspects of care lead to improved patient outcomes. In addition, Dr. Strope has an interest in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and its associated symptom complex, lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). He has explored the quality and effectiveness of the workup for patients with these conditions and has an active research interest in comparative effectiveness of treatments for these symptoms.
