PECaD Welcomes New Coordinators

PECaD welcomes two new program coordinator, Marilyn Wilson, MSW; and Whitney Anderson. 

Marilyn WilsonMarilyn joins PECaD with more than 20 years working in community health. She is also a 2015 graduate of PECaD's Community Research Fellows Training (CRFT) Program. Marilyn earned a bachelor degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis, followed by a master’s degree from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. Marilyn has previously worked in mental health at many area facilities including Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Forest Park Community Hospital, St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center, St. Louis University Hospital, and Planned Parenthood. Marilyn also served as the chairperson of the Cultural Competence Council for the St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center. She is originally from St. Louis. Whitney AndersonWhitney joins PECaD as the coordinator for the Prostate Cancer Community Partnership (PCCP).  She helps organize meetings and events for PCCP to provide members of the community with informational resources on prostate cancer and an opportunity to be screened, if high-risk. She received a bachelor's degree in public health from St. Louis University, and began work at St. Louis Children's Hospital with their Child Health Advocacy and Outreach Department. Whitney still serves as a community education instructor through St. Louis Children's Hospital as well as substitute teaches for New City School in St. Louis. Whitney can be reached at 314-286-0849 or
